This is my commission…to report from the struggle…
A man should know what he is not called to do, just as much as he should know what he is called to do. In the pursuit of purpose and finding that open door, how many times do we find ourselves finding and accepting the advice of people who are unfamiliar with our purpose.
Can such a person then advise us of how to go about pursuing what God has assigned for us to do?
There are countless examples of people who have gone beyond the bounds of predictability to achieve their purpose and yet the voices that advise us, always point to convention as the way. But what if that is not the way God has assigned for you?
After all, the God of the bible always did things in unconventional ways. One of my favorite verses in the bible is in Mark 2:12 where it says “they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion“.
God is into style and fashion. Creating trends and not following them.
Yet some many times when we are emerging in our God given purposes we are pointed in the direction of trends…
This is guaranteed to bring frustration as we attempt to be and do according to what people have said as opposed to who God has called us to be.
Therefore I will do what I have been assigned.
- I am called to report from the struggle which sits within Christian living.
- I am called to talk about the obscure and overlooked subjects and the things which many Christians encounter and yet so few talk about.
I am called to report from the struggle…
